Our family started on September 20, 2000, when Alex and Tammy were married, in Salt Lake City, Utah. So, this month marked our 8th anniversary, which we celebrated with dinner and a movie... but hey, it was nice to get away from the kids for a few hours.
Our family grew on November 11, 2001 when our first child was born. We named her Allyah Marie, but she will only respond to "Ally". She is almost seven years old now, and in the first grade. She is really into gymnastics, dance and her millions of friends. She has several boys chasing her every day at school, and one even kissed her... much to the dismay of her daddy, who didn't know he would need to polish his shot gun so early.
In November of 2005, Alex accepted a position with his company, Verizon Wireless, to move to Sierra Vista, Arizona, and that is where we have been living these past 3 years. It is a small town, but the weather is beautiful year round. We get to eat our Christmas dinner on the patio and other than the torrential rain that comes with monsoon season, the summers are mild and beautiful. For those of you who don't know where Sierra Vista is, it is just over the border of Mexico, in South Eastern Arizona. We really love our ward and the friends we have made here.
Besides work, Alex keeps busy with school. He is only 4 classes away from his BS. YIPPEE!!! We are all counting down the days that he will be home at nights again.
Tammy is a stay-at-home mom... which we all know is the busiest job there is. She is always volunteering in Ally's classroom, feeding or changing Devin, and trying to squeeze in her favorite past time... shopping!
This past August, our family grew again. On August 18, 2008, Devin Alex was born into our family. He was born a month early, but perfectly healthy and an extremely happy addition to our family. He is such a good baby and a great sleeper. He loves to smile, and is so loved. Even, Ally is constantly kissing and hugging him.
We are truly blessed in our lives with great family and wonderful friends.
