Time To Move Again

I am pretty serious about this... but it just isn't going to happen. Big sigh.

Around this time Alex and I have dreaded moving back to Utah. The cold, the snow... did I mention it is really, really cold? If it weren't for family, we would be out of here...

So, while I sit on the couch with a 2 year old with a fever of 103, and stare out the window at the nasty cold, white stuff, I will pretend I am here...

Or here...

Or just anywhere that the sun is shining.

Spoiled

Yep, that's me!

Do you know what my honey got me for Valentines Day (after we both agreed not to get anything for each other, of course)? A Sony Reader!!! I love to read, I mean seriously, if I could forget the whole world and keep my nose in a book all day long, I may actually be tempted. So now instead of having to keep looking for books at the library I just download them online... I can even "borrow" books from my library that way! I am so in love with it! Even if Alex does complain that he is a widower now...

Is that all? Nope. We went out for Valentines today and my friend watched our kids. He actually suffered through a musical production performed by BYU students! Now that is love! (he actually said it wasn't too bad after it was over though).

After a fabulous dinner he took me shopping and I got 3 new shirts and a pair of seven jeans.

So, am I spoiled? Heck yes! I am one lucky girl to have such a sweet and loving husband!!!

Official Change

So, change... um, yeah it starts on Monday.

Of course I had so many people email me after that previous post that you all probably know anyway. We waited to "officially" announce it until he passed his background and drug tests... because you all know what a wild, naughty boy Alex is! :o)

But, in case I missed anyone, Alex starts a new job on Monday. He will be in charge of all the sales reps in Salt Lake. It's a big change and a big opportunity for him. He is excited... WE are excited. However, it's back to high stress and long hours, so that is a little scary... and it's a little scary because what if he hates it???

So congrats Alex!!! It was an insanely competitive process, but he is the one that got it!!! I am married to one amazing man!!!

Borrowed Babies

Today I watched my friend's two kids for 5 hours... which mean I had a 2 year old, a 1 year old and a 3 week old newborn. Crazy? Yeah, it sounds like it, but it was one of the easiest baby sitting jobs I have ever done. There was not a single cry or complaint the entire time from any of the 3 kids... and best of all, I got to snuggle this gorgeous little cutie...

It sure was fun to cuddle a newborn for a while!

Not a Fan

of change, that is. But there's nothing I can do to stop it, and I really wouldn't want to anyway. It's just... scary.

So, stay tuned, something is very new (both exciting and scary) at the Jensen house...

Ally's Poem

Yesterday was Ally's Acheivement Day Daddy Daughter Date. So they dressed up in there matching Spongebob jammies and went to a brunch. The girls were supposed to do something special for their dad, and Ally chose to write a poem.

Here is her poem:

My Daddy is sweet,
Even though he has stinky feet.
His eyes are green
And he is never mean.
He is really fun;
His skin is as bright as the sun.
I like it when we go on a hike.
My Daddy likes to ride his bike.
I like to watch him play the Wii,
And I know that he really loves me.
My Daddy is the very best,
A better Daddy then all the rest!

Running Wild!

This past week I had the chance to go to the Dinosaur Museum in Lehi, and so I pulled Ally out of school an hour early and we went.

The kids had fun... I had fun too, but most of my visit consisted of chasing Devin. Here is a great example:

I had Devin stand nicely beside the dinosaurs to get a picture, step back a few steps and hold my camera up to take the picture and this is what I got:

He wanted to climb everything, run every where and was just so naughty! I often feel like a failure with him, because I just can't seem to keep him under control, no matter what I do!

But it was fun to be with friends, talk to them inbetween chasing Devin and get out and do something fun.
